She is an intuitive teacher who is able to pick up on which areas of his knowledge needed to be worked on at different times throughout his preparation. Heather has been an excellent English tutor for both of my teenagers through their GCSE’s. Two very different teenage abilities, not to mention personalities! My daughter wanted to improve her grades for English GCSE’s and was guided and nurtured by Heather on how to turn her good marks into great marks through specific targeted feedback on essays and approaches to answering the questions. She achieved a 9 for her English GCSE’s. My son’s grades have made a dramatic improvement since he started his sessions with Heather and he is on track for great GCSE results. If you are looking for an outstanding English Tutor you are reading the right profile! We can not recommend Heather enough. She is a truly lovely person, engaging, fun and enthusiastic with a highly supportive can do attitude. Our daughter was in bottom set English throughout secondary school and had been predicted to fail her GCSE (Lit & Lang). At the request of our daughter for extra help, we employed Heather and were initially just hopeful of a passing grade, but as the lessons went along, it became clear Heather had really engaged our daughter – when we heard her singing Macbeth quotes out of lesson time, that was priceless! (Don’t tell her I said that..)
The results speak for themselves! From a predicted fail to a 6 (B+/A-) in English Literature and 4 (C) in English Language (our daughter is dyslexic, so this too is an amazing result in Language) was an exceptional for both of them!
